Frequently Asked Questions

These certification FAQs explain audit stages, non-conformities, timelines and how certification decisions are made. They are for businesses preparing for or considering certification. AuditCert International offers guidance on the next step: tell us about your organisation and the standard you are working towards, and we will reply.

01Why is certification important for my business?

Certification serves as a formal validation of your commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, or information security. It enhances your brand reputation, satisfies customer requirements for compliance, and often opens doors to new international markets.

02What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits?
  • Stage 1 (Readiness Review): The auditor reviews your documentation and the preparedness of your facility to ensure you have the necessary systems in place.
  • Stage 2 (On-Site Assessment): A detailed evaluation where the auditor tests your actual implementation of processes against the relevant standards to verify full compliance.
03What happens if a “Major Non-Conformity” (NC) is found?

If a major NC is identified, certification cannot be granted immediately. You will need to perform a root-cause analysis and implement a Corrective Action Plan (CAP). Once you provide objective evidence that the issue has been resolved, the auditor will verify the closure before the file proceeds to the final certification decision.

04How long does the certification process take?

The timeline depends on the size of your organization, the scope of the audit, and your current level of preparation. During the “Technical Vetting & Quoting” phase, we calculate the mandatory audit time based on international standards to give you a clear project timeline.

05How is the final decision made?

To ensure absolute integrity, we employ an Independent Technical Review followed by a vote from our Certification Committee. This isolated panel reviews your file without influence to grant the final certificate, ensuring your achievement is recognized with the highest level of credibility.
